Ralph already put a hope here : https://siminnovations.com/forums/viewt ... 962#p56962

Additionally, the Raspberry Pi 5 is available at around (may vary more or less depending on the seller) :
  • 120€ for the 8GB
  • 90€ for the 4GB

Hi Gilles,
At those prices I would buy an SFF commercial PC and add a triple head GPU. ;)

Indeed Raspberry is experiencing the counterside of high market enthusiasm they seen growing, making the hungriness coming again ... ;)

[EDIT] Hi Joe @jph, found at least 3 x Low FF or approaching, with Core i3 at less than 120€ (refurbished) here ;) : https://www.ldlc.com/informatique/ordin ... tml?sort=1

It is indeed often cheaper and easier to purchase a little used office machine for example.

Some tips if going for a commercial second hand PC (I have 4 of them :) )

Go for Lenovo - NOT DELL HP etc.

Reason is that the parts in the Lenovo units are ALL standard whereas the DELL and HP etc are proprietary.

A great machine is a Lenovo 'Edge' in the 'desktop' size.
The SFF (Small form factor) version is a great machine but uses a small format PSU and you cannot fit a full height GPU.

The desktop versions (non SFF) all use bog standard atx PSUs and connectors, mobo, Ram - etc etc. You can change anything.

an example -

You can try a search for lenovo edge 72 etc.
Try to get one with a core I3 as you can usually just drop in a 3770 for 25 quid to have a full I7 unit.
Lots of options.
They all run win 10 no issues.
Anyways, slightly off topic so apologies.

The Raspberry Pi 5 is very fast! Nice fluid framerate. Very small load on Rpi5! Only approx 20% of CPU and 40% of GPU load(!) (Rpi 400 was 98%CPU..., 50%GPU) The software compatibility is so so, we would need probably an updated version of AirPlayer?

It is a bit unstable. The main issue was "Segmentation fault" I encountered many times. Then I needed to restart Rpi5. Also I was not able to display one of the Garmin autopilots but the other worked fine on the AirPlayer.

Hmm, I'm not sure if a segmentation fault has anything to do with Air Player. Sounds more like a OS thing, but I'm not an expert.
