I agree. Worrying, but also full of possibilities. Both good and bad

I'm fascinated by Dall-E, I wish I could use it endlessly if it were possible.
This was one of the creations, when trying to recreate a painting that my grandmother had.
DALL·E 2023-01-07 14.07.19 - A oil painting of a Sheepherder coming back to the stable with his sheep, at sunset, in Drenthe..png
That is most amazing
@Ralph
Almost Wilhelm von Gegerfelt(ish)
I have not used Dall-E yet.
I do love the name as a reference to Salvador Dali and a take on the film WALL-E

- excellent name for this AI.
This was all done from you written description and discussion yes ?
It is truly remarkable.
I mainly use chatGPT for advanced programming questions, of for clarifying my understanding on varying issues of a particular language that it is aware of (all major languages at this time)
I would love to use the DALL-E as well. These are all likely to become subscription at some point - well, the more specialist ones like DALL-E) but I have no issue with that.
I have no current 'subscriptions' to any net based service apart from my ISP. I don't use mobile data I don't pay for TV access etc. - Oh, I tell a lie, I DO pay 49 euro per annum for exclusive access to F1TV.com (the official F1 site with live streaming and data and historical replays and data).
Apart from that that is it.
Were you describing the image from pure memory or did you have the image to refer to when describing ?
As for good and bad well, it is interesting to have discussions with it to try to draw out it's programmed or firewalled views.
Asking if its output can exceed it's input capabilities is interesting. The wording needs o be able to drill down though as it will attempt to 'firewall' you with a standard 'I rely on groups of ethical input designers so no group can override the core rules' etc. but then start asking i about autocracies where one person can control ALL groups > interesting answers and it is being constrained by rules as to the answers to try to remain neutral - it will admit that - it will not admit it is BEST to do that etc.
Discussions about - allegedly

- fictitious beings and beliefs like 'god', the tooth fairy, and Santa Claus also dig deep and are revealing.
Extremely and utterly amazing and fascinating.
